This is the night
of eternal return. All things that have passed before in this year
are to be considered and taken into reflection. Set the Altar with
the basic tools of the Craft. Using the things you are most familiar
with. Black robes are traditional as well as the use of crescent
cakes and home-made ale, mead or cider. Bring the group around the
Altar and clasp hands. Allow some time for a light meditation that
boosts your capacity to generate a cone of power. If there is a chant
you are used to or something along those lines feel free to use it now.
Ask each individual to bring a candle with them into the circle that will
represent the soul of one person who has passed away at the hands of people
who were intolerant of their craft.

|
Let this be a night of remembrance
as well for the coven, mentioning any family members that may have passed
during the year. Each person should speak (if they wish) about the
year to come. Leave the past behind other than to recognize its passing.
One cannot pay for past mistakes you can only learn from them and go on.

|
Light the candles and the
incense, call in the quarters and allow a time for the elements of the
universe to gather in the circle with you. Acknowledge the work of
the Goddess and the God in your life and give thanks for all that has been
gifted to you. Seek the thought of those in the circle with you and
ask each one to offer what they will as a blessing for the new year.
If members have written a will for the year have them offer it to the God
and Goddess, incinerate it in a cauldron if you have one.

Share the cakes and ale
and close the circle. Be quiet with one another and allow the night
to grace you with whatever knowledge it will.
