 Feasting
All Sabbats include feasting, man has broken bread with his brother as long as time has been counted by the passing of one day into the next.  People are brought together at the table in times of happiness, in times of stress, and in times of fear and tragedy.  All of these times are met with the sharing of food.  It is a reminder that we are not alone and that the body must go on.  Life does continue through all tribulations.

It depends on what part of the world you're in as to what you would consider normal fare at this time.  Perhaps the most recognized symbol of the time is the pumpkin.  It is also a time for large game animals.  Tubers and all things that are from the last harvest are used at this time.  Bread is always important and you should feel free to be as creative as you wish.  This is the time for Mead and warm cider that makes the night more comforting.  In some places this is the night of the dead and it is celebrated by the eating of cakes and cookies that are made to look like coffins.
