My Mythos Lives...

In this day of master computer systems and all encompassing amounts of information being at our very fingertips the Gods are still as important if not more than they have been in antiquity.

I grew up in a time when mythology was something that came in books and lifted the edges of my young imagination.  I dreamed of meadows filled with centaurs and wonderful winged creatures that could fly like ravens in the high clouds.

My mother could find me with a copy of Bulfinch close at hand and the names of the Gods and Goddesses were as familiar to me as were the names of my closest friends.

Many of my playmates were into games of cowboys and Indians, while I dreamed of those lofty towers on Mount Olympus as if they were mine to conquer.

I still find that I am an odd duck by some standards.
My mythos lives for me as if I am part and parcel
        of this fabric.
