Days of the
Week
Sunday
The day of the Sun
Gold or yellow are
the colors of this day. This is frequently a day of rest for
many people, from many different philosophical backgrounds. It is
a good idea to take a day and rest from labor.
Monday
The day of the Moon
Silver or white are
the colors of this day. It is traditionally the first day of the work week
and in America it has long been the day when the households did their laundry.
Tuesday
The
day of the Earth
Green or brown are the colors
of this day. This is the day for works of healing and for the people
of the house to set about things that need care in the gardens.
Wednesday
The day of the Spirit
Purple or white are the
colors of this day. It is the day named after the God Odin.
It is the time when we learn of our need to be a part of the Gods that
we emulate in our lives.
Thursday
The day of Water
Blue and brown are the colors
of this day. Emotions are a basic part of each human being and without
them we would live rather dull and rancid lives. They can also bring
about pain in life.
Friday
The
day of Air
Pale blue and yellow are the colors of
this day. The day is named after a Norse Goddess. We are reminded
of the sanctity of the home, and the need for strong family ties in order
to bring about healthy children.
Saturday
The day of Fire
Red and orange are the colors of
this day.
Named for the God
Saturn, it is action personified. Tho this day is one of rest and
contemplation for some cultures, for others it is used as an adjunt to
the rest of the week for the addition of power to all magical efforts.
